#7. Music lessons
From learning how to play a new instrument to reviving your love for and skills with that guitar currently in the basement, many older adults are keen to immerse themselves in the spirit of music. Lessons can be a great way to bring the gift of music to someone’s life.
#6. Security cameras
There are lots of affordable options for high resolution security cameras (wired or wireless) that can help add some peace of mind to older adults and their families. They can be added inside and outside the home and easily monitored through smart devices. They are great for monitoring the activity of pets as well.

With the increased popularity of pickleball, specialized shoes are more readily available for novices and experienced players alike. Hiking also continues to be a favored activity and there are more options than ever to meet the particular needs of the Active Ager(s) in your life.

#1. Time with friends and family
This gift remains atop the list in speaking to most older adults. There is a craving to spend more time with those we love and sometimes those we have lost touch with for various reasons. Consider gifts that enable greater connections such as travel certificates and experiential gift cards, booking unique accommodations (i.e., through Airbnb or Vrbo) or even a planned family reunion in the new year. There is something for every family – and family dynamic!
